The Roman Road
The Roman Road is a collection of verses in the apostle Paul’s letter to the Roman church. It delivers a clear understanding of the path to salvation through Jesus Christ. This path shows us that life with Jesus doesn’t rely on anything we do, but instead relies on the gift of His grace alone. What we do with this Grace is up to us.
This study will help us:
- Understand our own faith
- Give us confidence in our faith
- Be prepared to share our faith
Week 1 - God is the Creator of life - [Listen]
Romans 1:20-21 [NLT]
20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.
Week 2 - sinners need forgiveness. [LISTEN]
Romans 3:23 [NLT]
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Week 3 - God showed us His love by demonstrating it before we recognize it. [LISTEN]
Romans 5:8 [NLT]
8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Week 4 - Our Sins Have Consequences [listen]
There are consequences to our choices and decisions. If we remain sinners, we will die, but accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior provides us eternal life.
Romans 6:23 [NLT]
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Confess Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved
Romans 10:9-10 [NLT]
9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
Call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved
Romans 10:13 [NLT]
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Everyone wants a Savior, very few want a lord! Make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life today.
Romans 11:36 (NLT)
For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.
